This cigar brand has a family history - it was founded by brothers Ramon and Antonio Allones back in 1845. The brothers introduced some things that were seen as quite innovative at the time - they were the first cigar company to use colorful lithography for producing multiple-colored box designs, the first company to use cigar bands and the first one to use the "8-9-8" arrangement when packaging cigars in the box.
However, the brand did not belong to the brothers for long - it changed a few owners before being purchased by the Cifuentes family. It was then when Ramon Allones was moved to the world-known Partagas Factory where Ramon Allones are still produced.
Even after the Cuban Revolution, production did not cease as the brand did not lose its popularity with cigar lovers through the centuries. As many experts believe, Ramon Allones cigars are much similar to Partagas in the body, size and packaging aspects (which is not surprising, given that the brands are produced at the same factory).
However, Ramon Allones cigars have always been made in smaller quantities than the cigars produced by the company's cousin, probably to ensure better quality and higher demand for this Cuban brand.
There are three regular vitolas available now, including the Small Club Coronas, Specially Selected and Gigantes, which still enjoy immense popularity with cigar aficionados and can be purchased at our store My-Cuban-Cigars.com. Moreover, Ramon Allones cigars have been often selected by many importers for the Edicion Regional series and can be found in many Edicion Regional launches.
