We would like to present you probably the most renowned and romantic brand of Cuban cigars. The brand got its name thanks to the tradition of having a reader in the cigar-making business for entertaining cigar rollers.
The company was created in 1873 by Don Hose Manin Garcia and Don Inocencio Alvaro Rodrigues. At first, their facility was a small one, but it soon matched the bigger factories due to the hard work of the owners. Plus, the high quality of tobacco, expert cigar-rolling and nice packaging quickly won cigar smokers over.
The way the factory was managed is quite interesting. Since the factory did not have its own tobacco plantations, the owners had to purchase tobacco at auctions. The inspirer of the brand, Don Manin Garcia, created a network of experienced observers who monitored all tobacco-growing stages and decided what suppliers were suitable for purchasing tobacco.
In 1886, Hose Manin Garcia left the factory to Inocencio Alvarez who managed Romeo y Julieta until it was sold to Hose Rodriguez Fernandez, or Don Pepin. Don Pepin was the pioneer in the cigar marketing industry. He employed sales managers and representatives who promoted the brand outside of Cuba. This way, it became widely known not only in the US, but also in Australia, France, Canada, Southern America, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland.
According to cigar aficionados, every cigar lover should try a Romeo y Julieta cigar at least once in a lifetime, especially given that the brand offers cigars in various sizes and shapes that have great resistance to ageing.
Due to its huge popularity, Romeo y Julieta occupies second place next to Montecristo and is one of the most popular brands sold at My-Cuban-Cigars.com.
