Named after the witty squire to Don Quixote in Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra's novel, this brand with a long history was founded by Emilio Ahmsted in 1852. Back then, it had the name Don Emilio Ohmsted, but has changed different owners since then and did not keep the original name, settling on Sancho Panza.
This brand is especially admired by those cigar smokers who prefer large sizes, since it includes the giant Sanchos and the Coronas Gigantes with a 47 ring gauge and the shaped-head Belicosos with a 52 ring gauge. However, if you like smaller sizes, you will also find Petit Coronas with a 40 ring gauge (the Non Plus) or Lonsdales with a 42 ring gauge (the Molinos).
If you prefer the medium strength, you will also like these cigars, as they are medium bodied. In addition to this, all Sancho Panza cigars feature a superb construction and are all hand-made and square-pressed.
If you notice that these cigars are thinner in texture, it is because the leaves are left to ripen for later harvestings. This makes the taste of Sancho Panza even more unique.
It is not surprising that Sancho Panza cigars are so good - they are created under the patronage of Estelo Padron, the distinguished Hoyo de Monterrey cigar master. Very flavorful yet miraculously affordable, the Sancho Panza cigar can be enjoyed every day.
